Recommendations
"I view the ENF China price report as the most valuable report on PV module pricing available today. It represents the flow of product from the largest source area and the manufacturers that tend to be the cost/price leaders. Measuring the prices at the factory is more relevant to our own business than other metrics further down the value chain. The timeline, segmentation, and multiple metrics also make it easier to understand what is going on."
- Bill Rever, Strategic Marketing Manager, BP Solar

"I find your price report very valuable and informative."
- Alexander Keally, Sales Planning & Analysis Manager, Evergreen Solar

"Utilizing this report's accurate and up to date Certification Reports has been vital in enabling us to identify potential clients in a timely manner. We also incorporate the Production Surplus data when predicting quantities for end-of-life modules. Confident, is what I feel when we use this company's data."
- Jennifer Woolwich, Founder, PV Recycling

"One of the elements to help us out in our business is the business insights that you share with us in your reports. I am always looking forward to receive it and sense the temperature of our solar market. It is a well-structured data source as well addressed by news and scenario changes."

- Armando Camino, Operations Manager, SolarZem Renewable Energy

Reasons to Buy:

Driving Market:

If you are looking for price trends in the Panel market, China is a good place to start. It holds a large and increasing share of world production and offers the most competitive pricing available. Shifts in the Chinese market price are usually mirrored in European and US markets in coming months as manufacturer seek to maintain competitiveness. However, uncovering comprehensive and accurate information on the Chinese market can frequently prove a daunting task.

Coverage:

Every month ENF’s Trade department calls up over 130 Chinese panel manufacturers to collect their best price for thin film or certified crystalline panels, together with their current production and availability figures. No competitor even comes close to this continued in depth coverage of the Chinese market and it allows our analysis team to provide a truly unparalleled report.

Future Predictions:

The combined collection of production availabilities alongside current price trends helps our customers to predict upcoming price trends as well, since changes in stock levels indicate supply and demand. If stock levels are rapidly dropping it is a strong sign that prices will soon start to rise, conversely unchanged stock levels can indicate oncoming price decreases.

Reliability/Integrity:

Collecting sensitive data directly from Chinese manufacturers can prove to be a difficult job and is one of the key reasons our competitors struggle in this market. Our trade department is involved in brokering large panel deals on a daily basis and is adept at spotting bogus quotations and digging out more accurate values. In addition ENF’s relations with established manufacturers are continually improving, due in part to the volume of trade agreements we are bringing to their doors but also to continued cooperation over the three plus years that the Price Report has been running.

Analysis:

Solid analysis is done on all data, and the results presented in an easily digestible format. Market averages are displayed weighted by a number of different metrics, such as 2010 production compared to 2010 current availability. 12-month price charts display price trends among various certification categories and among different sized companies. 36-month price charts give market price trends across the long term, both adjusted and unadjusted for exchange rates. Market availability tables show the number and percentage of panels still available for sale this year and help to predict future prices. Market Price deviation charts show by how much price quotations deviate from the average and help indicate the current volatility of the market. On top of this we also include an extensive certification report detailing the exact power-range companies have achieved certification for alongside a list of future certifications due.

Rumors:

In addition to the solid facts and figures presented in the price report analysis, our trade specialists also uncover many interesting market rumors as a result of their in depth discussions every month. The most interesting and credible of these are written up in an accompanying letter and presented alongside the price report each month. This includes the latest price of solar cells on the market.

Feedback:

After using the Chinese Panel Price Report for any length of time it genuinely becomes self-evident just how powerful the information contained within it is. The effect? Nearly every price report customer renews their subscription at the end of the 12-month period. As Bill Rever, Strategic Marketing Manager for BP Solar has said:

"I view the ENF China price report as the most valuable report on PV module pricing available today…"
